Morning Prayer
This is the day that the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it! Father God, in the
Name of Jesus, I come boldly to Your throne of grace that I may obtain mercy and find
grace to help in time of need. I enter into Your gates with thanksgiving and come into
Your courts with praise! I worship You in spirit and in truth, and I bless Your Holy Name.
I declare that You are the Creator and Possessor of the heavens and the earth. You are
the King of Glory, the Lord God strong and mighty; the Lord God mighty in battle. You
are the Most High God, the One True living God, the Only Wise God, and the
Everlasting God. You alone are exalted above all nations and Your Name is great and
greatly to be praised. I love You will all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength; and I love
my neighbors as myself. I declare Your mercy endures forever and I give thanks at the
remembrance of Your Holy Name. You are Holy, Sovereign, Righteous, and Just; and
You are my God.
I thank You for Your Son, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the King of Kings and
the Lord of Lords. He is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning
and the End. He is the Lamb that was slain, and is now the Lion of Judah. He is the
Prince of Peace and the Mighty God. He is the Bread of Life, and the Light of the
World. He is High Priest and our Advocate. Every knee shall bow and every tongue
shall confess that Jesus is Lord. I thank You, Lord that You so loved the world that You
gave Your Only Begotten Son, that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish,
but have everlasting life. So I thank You for eternal life, which is to know You, the Only
True God, and Your Son Jesus Whom You have sent.
I also thank You that Your love has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit
Who has been given unto us. He is our Helper, Who leads us and guides us into all
truth. He orders our steps and shows us things to come. He is our Teacher, our
Comfort, and our Guide. Today I choose to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, and a
stranger’s voice I will not follow. Let God’s Word be true and every man a liar. I seek
first Your Kingdom and I all of Your righteousness. I seek Your face and turn from my
wicked ways. I humble myself and pray; that You may hear from heaven, forgive sin,
and heal our land. And I thank you that as I seek first Your Kingdom, all of these things
will be added unto me in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
